Allison's half marathon charity challenge!

Alison HudsonStrode Swimming Pool & Fitness Centre receptionist Allison Hudson will be running the Bristol Half Marathon to help raise money for Avalon Leisure's charity partner the British Heart Foundation.

Allison reveals her story and what inspired her to start raising money for the British Heart Foundation.

'Over 10 years ago my dad had his first heart attack, he thought he'd never get the chance to see my two daughters, let alone be able to support them growing up. Last year he had a triple heart bi-pass and is very grateful for all the support he received via the British Heart Foundation, this has enabled him to develop strong relationships with all five of his  granchildren, who he loves very much.

I run to support and raise awareness of the risk of heart disease and the great work that is carried out by the British Heart Foundation. I firmly believe that by working together and supporting the work of the British Heart Foundation we can really begin to help make difference to other people's lives, not only improving their quality of life but their friends and family too.

I am running the Bristol Half Marathon on September 15th to help support the work they do, so let's make every penny count and help save lives.'
