Strode Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre’s new state of the art Exercise Studio is now open to the public, with more than 20 exercise classes already underway.
The studio was unveiled for the first time at a special opening ceremony on Saturday 27th August, with local trampolinist and Olympic hopeful Laura Gallagher present to cut the ribbon.
Laura, who regularly trains at Strode Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre, won her first World senior medal at a World Cup in Bulgaria earlier this year.
The new exercise classes timetable, which is now available to pick up from reception, features a wide range of classes, including Zumba, Tai Chi, Body Focus and Boxercise. The new Spinning classes, which are set to launch at the end of October, are also sure to be a hit with customers.
The project, funded by Western Community Leisure, was first commissioned back in March and cost around £30,000 to complete.
Strode Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre Manager Al Wood said: “Having an Exercise Studio at Strode will re-invigorate the local community, with a plethora of enjoyable and fun exercise choices under one roof.”
