Avalon Leisure's 30,000 Splashers in the news!

Big-splash-blueOur leisure centres made a 'Big Splash' with the local and national media this summer by allowing customers to swim for free.

Throughout August we ran a campaign to get more than 30,000 people swimming at each of our centres in an attempt to break just about every attendance record going!

When the end of month totals revealed that 31,169 people had enjoyed swims at Strode Swimming Pool, Wells Leisure Centre, Frome Leisure Centre and Shepton Mallet Lido, we responded by putting on 3 hour-long sessions of free swimming at each of the pools in September.

Customers were able to enjoy up to 13 hours worth of free swimming in total, spread across 11 days throughout the month.

Unsurprisingly, our innovative 'Big Splash' campaign hit the news big time! Although our free swimming sessions have now come and gone, we thought you'd like to check out the links below in case you missed anything (external links):
