Record breakers: Frome Leisure Centre achieves best ever Quest score!

DSCF09572Frome Leisure Centre has achieved its highest ever score from Quest, a nationally recognised scheme for measuring the quality of leisure centres.       

The Centre, managed by Avalon Leisure on behalf of Western Community Leisure and in partnership with Mendip District Council, received a score of 83%, which places the centre in the award’s ‘Highly Commended’ category.

The new score is the highest that an Avalon Leisure managed Centre has ever achieved.

Quest is used as a tool for continuous improvement, designed primarily for the management of leisure facilities and leisure development.

Quest defines industry standards and good practice and encourages their on-going development and delivery within a customer focused management framework.

Frome Leisure Centre’s latest score, which surpassed a previous best of 76%, commended the centre for the way it is managed, what facilities it has to offer and how it meets the needs of its customers.

Frome Leisure Centre Manager Sarah Cruwys said: “The whole team at Frome Leisure Centre is absolutely delighted to have achieved such an outstanding score.

“We’ve made great strides as a centre over the past couple of years and this new score, which rates us as one of the very best facilities in the region, really does illustrate just how far we’ve come and the improvements we’ve made from top to bottom.”

Avalon Leisure Managing Director Rob Taylor added: “The team at Frome Leisure Centre, led ably by Sarah, does an outstanding job in meeting the needs of our customers on a daily basis, and it’s great that their hard work has now been recognised in this way.

“We look forward to continuing our excellent relationship with Mendip District Council and together we’re confident that we will be able to achieve an even higher score next time around!”
