wellsquestrecordWells Leisure Centre has achieved its highest ever score from Quest, a nationally recognised scheme for measuring the quality of leisure centres.

The Centre, managed by Avalon Leisure, received a score of 82%, which places the centre in the award’s ‘Highly Commended’ category. The new score is the highest that an Avalon Leisure managed Centre has ever achieved.

Centre Manager Jackie Treasure said: “Our centre benefits from a dedicated team and they have all worked hard to achieve this amazing result.

“Being in the category of ‘Highly Commended’ confirms the commitment that the staff continues to show not only to myself, but to the centre and its customers alike.”

Councillor Jim Barron, Leisure Portfolio Holder for Mendip District Council, said: “We are very proud of Wells Leisure Centre and the facilities and opportunities that we offer, none of which would be possible without our fantastic relationship with Avalon Leisure.”
