Brookside School children aim to get ‘Aqua Fit’

StrodeAquaFit2Children from Brookside School took part in an AquaFit session at Strode Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre as part of their annual Health Week.

In the school’s special week, which takes place every March, gives children the opportunity to take part in a wide variety of activities, encouraging them to think about staying fit and healthy.

Activities this year included kickboxing, line dancing, skipping activities, forest school activities and benchball.

The children were also given the opportunity to take part in a one-off AquaFit session with Strode Swimming Pool instructor Lisa White.

Strode Swimming Pool Duty Manager Gemma Withers said “The children thoroughly enjoyed the session and it brought awareness to the benefits of regular exercise. The week was a great success.”
