We're Supporting Cyclists ‘Riding The Length’

Avalon Leisure is supporting four cyclists from Street who are aiming to ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End for charity.

Adam Brown, Nick Curtis, Jeremy Linter and Lee Molland, who all train at Strode Swimming Pool and Fitness Centre, will be setting off next month in the hope of raising thousands of pounds for the British Heart Foundation and BIBIC.

The quartet will be attempting to cycle the daunting 874-mile (1,406km) trip, which spans the length of the United Kingdom, in eight days; even though they were advised it normally takes cyclists 12 to 14 days.

They are due to set off from John O’Groats on Thursday 5th August and expect to pass through Somerset on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th.
